Blackberrry Update

So as you guys know i was having some serious problems with my blackberry a couple of weeks ago and it was driving me crazy. well i couldn't take it anymore and Sprint was not helping me out at all. i called them they told me that there was nothing they could do but that i should go to a repair store and leave it with them and they might be able to fix it. i went to Kings Plaza mall in brooklyn because they have a Sprint repair store there and it's only like 15 mins from my house. i made an appointment online and i figured i would just go there and be maybe 20 mins and they would either be able to help me or not, but of course it wasn't that easy. i get there and they tell me to leave my phone and come back in an HOUR AND A HALF!! i was like fine ill just walk around the mall with my friends (that god someone came with me) and kill some time. i went to a few stores ate some food then went back to the Sprint store at the time they had said for me to return. i got there and they made me wait for another 30 mins so by this point i'm already pissed off. FINALLY they call my name and i ask they guy so what did you guys do? he goes we did a hard reset. i was like are you serious??? i told him i could have done that at home and these were his words exactly "Yea, you could have." that was it for me, i was like well thanks for nothing because the hard reset did NOT fix my problems. so i went home and canceled my contract with Sprint, yes i have to pay a $200 early cancellation fee but that is how pissed off i am with them. needless to say i got a new blackberry with verizon and i am very happy with it :). it is actually the new curve (Blackberry 8530) and instead of the trackball it has a sensor pad that i actually really like. if anyone is thinking about getting this model or upgrading to a blackberry i would suggest this one, it comes with a ton of memory and feels awesome when you are using it. here is a youtube review from crackberry about the model:
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me with the problems i was having with the old one it was much appreciated.

  1. Sorry to hear that. The ECF's are frickin' ridiculous, and at that $200 price point, it's just highway robbery. Phone companies argue that it's to help subsidize the price of new phones, and I'm inclined to agree, but still... that's a chunk of change.

Luckily, I hear they're trying to do away with it in California, as courts don't like that sort of shit. Hope it follows suit over here.

  2. i got the Verizon HTC Droid. i thought the Motorola one was too big, more for guys, it barely fit in my pocket. anyways, my boyfriend also has verizon. he had the venus, which i think is a horrible phone btw. anyways it suddely broke one day and the touch screen wouldnt respond to anything and the people couldnt fix it or do anything bc his contract wasnt over etc etc. so hes been with a broken phone for 3 months now. he can only make phone calls by manually entering the # so now he walks around with a piece of paper with #s on it lol. anyways his contract just ended so i think hes getting the same phone as me.

  4. El how do you like the droid? You have any problems with it? I don't know anyone who has it so I'm just wondering if it lives up to the hype. Maybe you could write a review on your blog. Thanks for the comments guys.

  5. I am very happy that you finally got rid of the other phone. I'm not sure if I would have been so patient like you were if they did that to me in the mall. That's one of the main reasons why I never liked sprint. Did you actually find something to do in Kings Plaza for 90 minutes? that mall fell off to me. It seems like it has nothing in there. Anyway... good luck with your new phone I like it

  7. Wow My cousin got a free phone from sprint last time she had a problem with her fone. I'm sorry you went through all that. While Verizon has great phone service and phones. I hope you don't have any problems with it, because their customer service can really suck too. But I do want verizon but it's just way too expensive for me.

  8. Yeah, there is a reason why people use Verizon even though they have to pay premium. But there are still people out there using Sprint or Tmobile because they have cheap plans. I think it is depends on what is your purpose of using cell phone. If it is business purpose, Verizon or Att is good provider. If you just need to make phone calls and don't use often, Sprint or Tmobile is not bad.
