Blackberry

I have a blackberry like I'm sure half of you in class do as well and I'm pretty happy with it overall but it has been driving me crazy lately. I have the 8830 world edition by sprint and it just doesn't come with as much memory as the other models so I'm constantly running into memory problems. I don't have that many things on it like maybe 5 apps or so. But my memory is just about full and I have to restart my phone a couple of times a day. Also it seems to cause I problem when I go into the subway then come back out it usually can't reconnect without me restarting it. If anyone has the same model let me know how its treating you. If anyone has any general ideas or hints for me I would appreciate it. A memory card will not help cause you can't save apps to the memory card only the internal memory. Oddly enough I'm writing this from my blackberry so hopefully it works.

  1. Well my first suggestion would be to upgrade, you should be able to upgrade to a curve for ike 50 dollar. Or you could call sprint and complain. My cousin did that because I believe her palm kept acting up and they sent a free palm and blackberry for free.

  3. James, do you have insurance on it? If yes, I can get you latest bold cheap. Even if you don't, doesn't matter in a couple of month you can get brand new blackberry or iphone. A friend of mine does these things, let me know if you interested, I can explain details in person.

  4. I have contacted Sprint and I do have insurance on it so they have sent "new" (refurbished) phones over and over. I am currently on the 3rd phone and I end up with the same problems over and over. I have tried to ask Sprint to let me switch the model but they won't allow it. I love phone physically and when it works correctly but the problem has just become to much to deal with in a sense. My contract is up in April I believe and I know that Sprint just got the new Curve2 and other new models will be coming out next year. But Nick i would definitely like to hear what you have to say since I do have insurance on it. I'll talk to you after or before class on Tuesday. Thanks a lot guys and if anyone has any other ideas feel free to keep commenting.

  5. Oh and as far as Bodre's comment i think that it depends on what you want. for me i had a touch screen phone before and i just like the keyboard much better. but the iphone has so many more apps and can do just about anything you could want. the blackberry has a lot of apps as well but nothing compared to the iphone app store. the interesting thing will be to see how the new Droid phone which was released this week will affect both the blackberry and iphone sales.
